    MonkeyLand, Plettenburg Bay SA

    A large monkey sanctuary that abuts Birds of Eden; posted earlier. They have about a dozen different types of monkeys, though they also have gibbons and lemurs. They are enclosed in a very large space and are free to roam as they see fit. The animals come from multiple backgrounds, but they many come from zoos whose populations have become overcrowded.     Gibbons, ring tailed Lemurs AND what looks like a Colobus Monkey. Anymore? I did my college theses on the Evolution of Primate Vision.

    Would love to see some more.

    Yup, that's one loud loud monkey. He made a run for the gift shop after this shot - nearly squeaked through the door too!
