My initial issue with it is that he said the pursur had a gun, too. I don't think they can be legally carried in the cabin. That can also make the pursur the first person that a dangerous person would go for, thinking he/she's got a gun.

It's a definite fake. First, check the sound quality of the voice--too good quality to be a PA.
Second, the land below is green and looks like farmland--nowhere near the Grand Canyon.
Third, how many FAR's would they be violating making such a speech--I think the Federal Firearm program for pilots is predicated on no one knowing who is participating in it.
It had me for about 5 seconds....

That came out soon after 9/11 in only a form of audio. There is one video online where two WN guys we're messing around and they played it as the Captain was pretending to do a PA announcement. Can't find it but it goes good with the audio.
