American Eagle Dumping LGA-FNT After Just 3 Months

American Eagle will discontinue its service between LaGuardia and Flint, Mich. on April 7th, just three months after it began. Flint airport sources blame the cut on the fact that American Eagle entered the market almost simultaneously with Northwest, resulting in average load factors of under 50% on the route.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Yeah, AA was trying to protect the LGA market from NW, it didn't work. Looks like NW will stick with it though.
