All Nippon Airlines on Tuesday announced the first routes on which it will use its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with Beijing, Frankfurt, Okayama, Hiroshima and Hong Kong all getting visits in the first months of service.
Beginning November 1, the world’s first commercially operated 787 will fly domestic routes within Japan, from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Okayama and Hiroshima.

The first regular international service will connect Tokyo-Haneda and Beijing in December once a week. In February, the first long-haul 787 flights will fly daily from Tokyo-Haneda to Frankfurt.

ANA will also fly a special charter flight from Narita to Hong Kong and back on October 26-27. Business Class seats will be sold via an auction system, with profits benefitting Conservation International and The Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement. A lottery system will determine who gets to sit in Economy Class.
Special excursion flights will also be flown between Narita and Hong Kong on October 28-29, though details for these have not yet been revealed. Time tables and sales information will be published in September on ANA’s website.
