I heard the audio between the pilot and the ATC tower. The pilot claimed the engine was running a “teensy bit rough”. Then he said he had a sick passenger. Which was it?? What was the emergency? JFK was less than 3 miles away. This kid (24 years old) needs a timeout in the local clink for a few months and have his pilot’s license revoked. He even admitted to local police he got the idea from a TV show. NY has enough worries regarding local airspace without having to deal with juvenile idiots like this guy.
