JetBlue Airways brought out a new kind of special paint scheme today, applying green to one of their Airbus A320 aircraft to commemorate their being the official airline sponsor of the New York Jets football team. This is the first jetBlue paint scheme that includes nearly no blue paint.

Airbus A320 N746JB is nicknamed “Some Like It Blue” and was delivered to JetBlue as its first user in September of 2008, previously sporting a “Terminal 5” decal towards the rear of the aircraft.

  • Calling a plane with NY Jets (big green) livery “some like it blue” (as in Big blue as in NY Giants) seems a pretty poorly thought-out idea, no?

  • They really should buy the naming rights to the new Meadowlands stadium. “JetBlue Field” would work for either the Jets or the Giants.

(come to think of it, so would “Jolly Green Giant”, but not quite as well.)

  • Blue387

I think a Mets plane would be more appropriate; the Mets colors are blue and orange.

  • All these silly complaints about the a green themed jet on a company named Jet Blue. What you don’t know is that this is the beginning of a corporation name change. They will be called Jet Green soon. 😉

  • This is pretty cool.Lets Go Jets
