Well done Eric ... Beautiful light too
Lovely
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
Excellent angles, the Delta T7 actually looks quite stunning for such an ordinary livery. The Air China shot is fantastic! I don't know why more carriers don't get some -8i's, they really should be selling like hotcakes
Great shots Eric! Nice angles on all the shots, particularly the Delta T7.
As for why you don't see more '8i's out there, in a word: efficiency. The twin engine jets have a huge advantage of having half the number of engines, much lower fuel burn and are cheaper to fly, not to mention half the engine maintenance costs. The reason the three holders and quadjets were successful in the first place was because they came before ETOPS allowed for efficient nonstop routes by the twin engine airframes on trans-oceaninc flights. (plus fuel was cheaper)
