Took wife and son to watch the show today. It was so windy at the beach. Sometimes I could not even hold the camera steady in the gust.
Here are some of my pictures.
Nice thatl the Catalina flew in the FlyBy of the AAM ships!! I was more excited seeing that fly than the CF-18. I was at Republic today and it was pretty windy there so I can imagine at the beach!! When the CF-18 returned they did one high flyover of 3-2 then back for low flyover of 1/1-9. The Catalina departed around 3:15 and they flew 4 flybys before heading out south to JFK airspace!! That was very cool and so great to see! Never have seen one flying before!!
Oh man I was in the car listening on the radio when Chucky came on!! Really pissed me off! Thank you Kenny!! Was wondering if anyone spoke up!!
Very wierd week with the sequester and then the weather putting a damper on excitement but GREAT JOB by all to even get an airshow up and running!!
Now....anyone with any idea when CF-18s wioll be heading out? Thanks.
The wind was a pain, but no heat haze, and no traffic! Holland and Chapman also stole the show for me, and seeing the Catalina fly made it more than worth it.
I can't edit much until I get home to my good monitor, but I don't have the glass for the beach anyway, so whatever. Here's hoping for a good time at the museum tomorrow!
Did anyone else get a copy of the 10th anniversary DVD? It's a nice little behind-the-scenes look at the air show, save for some awkward sounding interviews and a hand full of spelling mistakes (who's this John Clatt they refer to?).
Shoot first, ask questions later.

I got the dvd but haven't yet watched it. I only did the dump of todays shots into the computer and I think I'll continue catching up on the previous days of shooting before I cull the hell out of today.
I won't be joining in the festivities tomorrow but in the interim, I'd very much like to thank the folks at the American Airpower Museum as always for their hospitality. Fred, John, Moose, Kenny, Steve, Tim, and Rick for the laughs and the viewing hookups. We MUST do this again real soon and Fred, I'll remember the beers this time!

Probably the youngest spotter ever to walk up the face of the mounds.

This year's show sucked so bad, Linda Lovelace need not worry! The CF-18 was a complete disaster
But who cares, I got to see Dusty!
