    Jetblue Term at JFK

is there a reason they didn't build their own customs in term. 5 so they wouldn't have to use term 4 for all their intl. flights?

Apparently they are turning Terminal 6 into Terminal 5i, which will have a customs/immigration facility and handle their international departures and arrivals. There is also speculation that Aer Lingus might move into the terminal when complete.

Yes, Currently the old T6 will be demolished. Asbestos has been removed from ramp side and it should come down shortly and by the end of the summer it will be history. The new term will incorporate all the customs and FIS needed as we are getting to big for T4. We can have up to 30 arrivals there in the busy season making it larger then most of our bluecities.

T6 is in the final prep phase right now before it comes down. It's exciting times for JetBlue at JFK.
