that is way cool!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Well at least it died a quick death, lol
That is cool, especially in slow motion, but Phil could you please translate the Captain's remarks for us?
Thanks

"My pre-flight meal with the FO had various forms of fowl among him and myself, and we joked that the birds' family would avenge his death in-flight. Their attack came in two waves. The first one I was able to evade, but then they flew in a circle, overcame us and turned back towards us for a second attempt/ I did a few barrel-rolls but they still hit us. After we landed, I scraped their guts off the wing and ate what was left over. What can I say? They were a good, healthy family of birds and they tasted great."

Thanks Phil, I was able to understand bit's and pieces of what the Captain was saying, but thanks to your translation it all makes sense now, thanks Phil.

Neat video, Phil. Looks like that was aboard a Novair A330-200, its such a beautiful aircraft !
Holy Crap, that translation turned out better than I thought it would be. :borat:
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
It sounds like this Capt is speaking German?

You're right Bobby - the one thing that Phil missed in his translation came right at the end - to quote
"I'm really annoyed with myself that I didn't notify the guys at NYC Aviation first and them having to find out from a Live Leak video."
