    Approach/final routes into jfk

Hey I was wondering if there are maps available that show the approach paths into JFK over long island. I have been in garden city, new hyde park and roslyn where I can clearly the plane's from ground level and also see them begin to lower there landing gear, and I would just like to know if I can find out their routes into the airport

Check out airnav.com, search for JFK, and scroll down to the bottom where you'll find charts for all the approaches. The maps are not as detailed as charts you can buy, but they give you a pretty good idea of what is going on.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.

I am not a fan of NOS charts but this is a good place to look as well.
