I enjoyed seeing the A380 visit JFK last spring but was wondering when she will finally come as a regular visitor. The Port Authority spent a small fortune to reinforce and widen both runways as well as taxiways for the A380 at JFK. I know that they are having some technical problems. Perhaps it was a bad idea in this day and age when fuel is so expensive, to build an airliner which travels at subsonic speed and will probably fly with many empty seats unless deep discounts are given. Sailing aboard the spacious Queen Mary 2 doesn't seem so bad after all.
