I wonder what it would cost to make them airworthy again. It would be nice to see the new owner fly them again.
I doubt they really could be made airworthy again. They cut the wings (and I think the tail) off the Convair to move it there, and even if you repaired/replaced all of that structural damage, there aren't any engines around for it. The Jetstar has that big window cut into the right hand side behind the cockpit, and I've read that the early ones have serious corrosion issues in the wing/fuel tank area.
