    JFK 4/12/09

Since I had a little time before doing Easter stuff this afternoon, I took a ride down to JFK. I ended up at Costco (which was closed) for a while. Ran into Kim and his friend (who's name I forget) in from Norway this week, as well as a Dutch-born spotter, now living in Baltimore, who was up for a day of spotting. The sky was great, it wasn't too cold, but damn were the winds blowing!

This may be my new favorite 777:

Haven't seen these guys in a while:

That's Kim on the right, with his friend in the background:

    This one actually looked clean!

As I mentioned, Costco was closed, so the parking lot was empty, except for us, and a security guard, who sat in his car about 40 feet away from us the entire time I was there, but didn't pay any attention to us.

Great shots! I was loving the sky this afternoon and wondering who the luckiest guy would be catching all the shots today!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Nice stuff - I especially like the El Al - my favorite of the set. Been chasing an El Al 738 around all weekend myself - but can't seem to get it.

Nice catch on the Air China 747-400 with the enlarged titles. I believe that's the first picture of the change.

    must be a new airframe...

moose, the color contrast on the AAL767 shot is amazing!! wow!!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Thanks guys! When I got out to Costco and got to talking to Kim, he said "There was a Cathay Pacific 777 that came it, but it must have been a special scheme, it was all green..." I guess Asia World City has replace Wunala in taunting me!

Great shot’s Moose, the Air France was sweet.
I’m really happy to get a shot of the Cathay, it was so nice to see it.
    here it is.

I hope it’s not so long till I can come back again.
    Sheers
    Kim.
