Iran on final for JFK
Iran on final for JFK
That Brunei A340 is absolutely drop dead gorgeous.
Great coverage as always guys!
Nigeria G-V 5N-FGW on final. Yemen just landed and is due out at 1440
SSG001 on final. This will be something Equatorial Guinea, type unknown.
Whoa, and Tower just called a Tupolev rolling out, which I either totally missed or SSGwas Slovakia
Oh there are people to ask but they wear black suits, dark sunglasses and have earpieces and might have questions FOR YOU!!!
LOL I was walking by the Regency on Park Ave in Manhattan today and East 61st was closed and lots of SS types, ESU CAT Teams and DHS guys on duty. On my second walk past got the hairy eyeball from a couple of them so I guess pictures were out of the question.
I missed a VC-25, the Iran Air 747SP, and I waited for 2 hours for that damn Yemenia. I only left after my phone died, and it landed an hour after I left. Not a great day

What a big difference from shooting this in day light!
Finally! I got a shot of her in the air!!!!
Swaziland on short final for RWY 31R
Iran Air on short final for 31L, taken near Costco
Slovak Republic departing off 22R
Swaziland departing off 22R
Just as I was making my way to HoBe from home, I have gotten two blocks away from home and I see the Yemenia 747 SP departing off RWY 31L. I darted out of my car to get this shot. As I was taking the shot, there was a guy sitting on his stoop and must of thought .... what the hell was all that about as I drove off.
Jason, 2 SP's and a TU! Damn I'm jealous! Great coverage guys from all. I'm still trying to find time to edit my Sunday shots.
Some of my shots taken Tuesday at SWF:
Swaziland:
Zimbabwe:
South Africa (and it's for sale!):
Kuwait:
Thailand:
Senegal:
There was a second Thai A340 there but unshootable to due to the way it was parked. Same story for a few uninteresting BBJ's and a tan ERJ-190. The 777 was also there but surrounded by ground equipment. I went up to SWF hoping to catch a VC-25A or some of the Saudi, UAE or Brunei stuff, but no luck.
I didn't get the Spanish A310--there was a gate guard at the fence and I didn't want to press my luck after already shooting the 727 and Senegal. Although I don't think he realized I was there...
I have never seen an MD-80 that clean before. Great sets guys.
