Anyone know what time and runway for the blues launch today?
Yankee lady did not participate?
There was no Yankee Lady and all the media was saying all week she was in the show. I thought Blues were good for the cloud cover, but only did about a half hour. Also what happened to the Red Bull Team?
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

Got to the airport in time to see them depart right over me (parked all by myself on Rt 109 just west of Wellwood)!! Then nice return on 14 with left break in!! Lots of people in the movie parking lot by 110. I then heading over to the lot by Dave & Busters and AAM action was really heating up!! Many departures and flybys!! Traffic was pretty congested by the Main Terminal and on 110 north from airport to Conklin while Blues airborne!! Interesting that many people were parked all along Rt 109 by Runway 1. Didnt they get the memo the Blues use 14/32?
Tomorrow I head to the beach!!

Nice shoots gents! Should be an awesome day for those out today at the beach or field.
Some from Saturday. Too bad the sun didn't hold out for the Blues

Bill,
when end shooting fast movers, use apature priority. When shooting props, shoot shutter priority (around 250 or slower).
as far as exact settings, I can't help you a lot there. Jones Beach is a tough place to shoot because you're pretty much shooting directly into the sun all day. Your best bet is to move around during the day and try to position yourself for the least backlighting possible, but you're not going to eliminate it.
basically, trial and error.
