Just booked flights on Aer Lingus to get me to the Paris Airshow in June. 1st time flying them, any pros or cons with their service etc. from those that have traveled with them before?

I used Aer Lingus once, when I moved to the US. I particularly remember that they were right on schedule, to the dot. Friendly staff as well.
Enjoy the Terminal 5 Experince at JFK, that is all I have to say on it.
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
Aer Lingus operates out of Terminal 4 until March 26th. On March 27th, they move to Terminal 5.
Aspires to become an Air Traffic Controller at Kennedy Tower.

Never heard anything negative about flying on Aer Lingus. I remember fondly their 3 747's. Suddenly, they were replaced by lowly Airbuses. What a surprise I had back in 1995 seeing these magnificent aircraft at a Boneyard in Arizona near Tucson waiting to be scrapped. One aircraft even flew the late Pope from Rome to Dublin. Shame.
they used their 707s late in the game too, thru the late 70's
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
I'm green with envy that you're attending the Paris Air Show.
My name is Disco Stu and I love disco music.
I'll be flying to/from Boston. Thanks everyone.

Strong rumour in Europe that Aer Lingus are purchasing 4 ex Finnish B757's to start up ops from Dublin/Shannon to Boston / JFK / YYZ from October to release the current 330's to either op further afield i.e. LAX or to go on lease to a 787 operator needing replacement capacity. The 757's will be operated by ACL a well known provider of aircraft for DHL/Fed Ex, with a mix of EI and ACL Flight Deck and EI Cabin Crew
Cheers Andy
oh they will be lovely wearing the green !!!

Flew them from Chicago to Dublin and back - one of the best A330 rides I've ever had - except for a drunk passenger that the crew had to subdue - but - excellent service, and loved doing immigration in Dublin - saved a WHOLE lot of time on the way back - I too am green with envy!!!!

For our Honeymoon in April 1987, we flew on an Aer Lingus 747 that was on seasonal lease to Air Jamaica. Going down we flew from JFK to Montego Bay. For the return flight a week later, we stopped in Kingston, (only about a 20 minute flight over the mountains) then on to JFK. Now that I think of it, that was my last flight on a 747.
