That is just a stone's throw, maybe even in the traffic pattern for Randall Airport. There is suprisingly a lot of activity up there between Randall and Orange County, flight training, gliders, NORDO aircraft etc.... I did a photo mission once over Goshen just to the east. My photog pointed something out to me for a moment, and when I looked back there was a R-22 coming right at us. I never want to be that close again.

Saw this on the 5PM news. From what they reported witnesses said the two unidentified planes were flying "at the same speed next to each other" formation and clipped wings.
Sad to hear..
