Anyone know of a good aviation themed restaurant in the tri-state area?
I have been to the 94th bomber squadron at KCDW, but they have since closed.
Thanks in advance...

BRING BACK THE KJFK/KLGA OBSERVATION DECKS
Does it have to be big airplanes?????
Hands down the Sunset Grill at Lincoln Park (N07) airport. It's just north of Caldwell.
I fly in there for dinner with friends/students periodically. They are right on the ramp and in warmer weather have an outdoor seating area. Food and service are excellent. Entertainment on some nights too.
A busy little GA airport, with some occasional Medevac helos thrown in.

not in the tri state area but i vouch for danny's cantina in laredo ,tx,huevos rancheros, dos equis, freight dog paradise, right out of the bar scene in star wars...
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!

Thanks for the replies, I will definately try them out...
Related to the 56th Fighter Group there are a number of 94th Aero Squadrons at airports around the country. SJC and MIA come to mind....although this was a while ago.
It's the fares, stupid
MIA definitely; I hung out in their parking lot back in December when the airport was pointed west. ILG also has a restaurant done up like a WWII camp. Used to have a DC-3 outside, but it was removed a few years ago. Don't know if it's a "94th Aero Squadron"-brand restaurant, but it's the same concept.
Sky Manor in Pittstown, NJ (Hunterdon County) has a restaurant, but that field is very slow. Blairstown, NJ (Warren County) has a restaurant; it's probably the busiest glider base in the NY Metro area, and I think one just opened at Trenton, as well.
Not an aviation restaurant exactly, but you can't beat The Bayhouse in Meadowmere Park when they are landing on 31R at JFK.
Yes they do Steve.

In that case I think when the weather gets warmer we should get a group of us together for a few drinks or a bite to eat after a day of spotting. Do they frown upon 4 or 5 paying customers using cameras on their deck?
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do
