Very nice. Sad but true.

The Democrats don't really know what they want, & are still acting like they are the minority party

run out of other people’s money.” - Margaret Thatcher
Tommy has a point but I also think the Dem party has been bashing the war simply to try to get rid of Bush and to win the white house. Groups like moveon.org and codepink are out of touch and think the "let's talk about our problems" approach works. That may have been good in the Gerald Ford era but if you look at it shortly after Reagan left office the landscape has changed. Terrorists only understand one thing. Force. Once they get their mind set on something talking will not help. We should not negotiate nor anything else but make these people understand that their behavior will not be tolerated. Dems are simply not trustworthy when it comes to this.

One of the biggest issues I see with groups like Moveon is they really don't speak for the majority of DEMS but people like George Soros who's in the minority but has billions to voice his stance and make the minority look like the majority. Soros is pulling allot strings right now and the party of Truman is swiftly becoming the party of Soros.
This is the most accurate thing I've ever heard you say about the Democrats. David Brooks actually wrote a pretty interesting editorial about it yesterday (link)Originally Posted by T-Bird76

Those who were paying attention realized that in 2004 when the Republicans' preferred Democratic challenger got the nomination for president.
The real issue with groups like MoveOn and DailyKos is that most of the bloggers who get involved with groups like that are the sort of people who never got over their idealistic college protesting phase and still think they can change the world. They are, as a rule, much more liberal than the Democratic party as a whole, and most people who vote Democrat know that. (Don't even get me started on CODEPINK.)
That's why it always cracks me up when the Bush Administration tries to portary people like John Kerry and Hillary Clinton as being extremist liberals. MoveOn is to the left of most Democrats, but they're far from extremist, and they tend to consider Clinton too conservative.
The real power in the Democratic party is held by the traditional liberal media.
Terrorists understand force, but military force creates more martyrs, which only makes them stronger. The war on terrorism is a war of propaganda, and the Bush Administration has ****ed that up worse than any Democrat ever could have. Which ever presidential candidate from either party who demostrates that he or she understands this has my vote, regardless of party affiliation.Originally Posted by NIKV69

They can't Nick, Soros is pouring too much money into the media and he'll destroy them if they do. Adam as far as Hillary goes she is a far left liberal...her national healthcare program that she is hell bent on shoving down our throats is proof of that. Hillary care was tried in California and failed...National Healthcare does not work. Her other statements about taking profits from companies is proof positive of her Socialist desires for this country. As for Kerry he's not far left...he's just far from reality
Speaking of Bush, Bush certainly isn't the greatest President we've had, he's a freaking train wreck but like the Dem's he's sort of his own kind of Republican. It’s coming down to sub parties now. On the Republican side you have you're normal everyday Republican and Conservative and then you have you're Bush Republicans who you could lead into a gas chamber and they wouldn't say boo.
I agree completely with the last three posts :borat: .

I'm a Democrat, proud of it, and I resent being called, no matter how off-handed, a terrorist supporter.
Tom please tell me you don't actually believe that crap.

Hey I didn't write that...! I do agree that terrorists only understand force but force does not only mean action from military while I do agree we need to blow them away. We can cut off their funds, make it harder for them to move around, and disrupt their intelligence network all means of force but as for propaganda..... I don't agree with that.Originally Posted by SeriouslyFunny
That's the implication of the cartoon however. It's pretty sad that in this day in age it's acceptable for one party to accuse the other of supporting terrorists.
If we as a country would knock off our hatred for Bush on the one hand, 'liberals' on the other, and focus that energy on OBL, there's no doubt in my mind we'd have him right now.

I agree 100%, my intent with the cartoon was to poke fun not to get into a political debate but you know how these things go. I think the largest problem facing out country right now is the fact that we (IMO) no longer have a representative Gov't. Neither the Dems or the GOP speak for America. They speak for who can lobby the most and who throws the most money at their state or district. Taxation without Representation never meant as much as it does today!Originally Posted by SeriouslyFunny

The truth is [people] can only base their bias on what they hear from the mainstream media, and to believe the media, who right now are the most uninformed people in the country is a very stupid idea. Presidents do not control the fate of the country government agencies do, they just need a mascot, and im not talking about the CIA IM TALKING ABOUT THE ONES YOU'LL never hear about the ones that fly drugs and counterfeit moneys around the world to regulate friendships with real terrorists, the ones that the US citizens should really be afraid of. Its these same agenies that point to the president of iran and make the people of our country believe that this man is the powerhouse supplier of weapons to the primative fighters of the mid east who wish death and disease to America. So really none of you know what's going on and never will and that's how the real government likes it and wiwll be sure to keep it.
