Well done, Jeremy! Very cool.
After getting a little sleep today, I headed out for something to do, and ended up at Gravelly Point Park, next to DCA for a while this afternoon. They were landing Rwy 19, so the approach was...
Heading up to NY this weekend, I had hopes of getting in town early enough to make the WWII Reenactment at Old Bethpage, but it was a long week, and 7 hours of driving in the rain meant stopping in...
Not much to go on from that photo, Doug. That was the first pre-production Concorde, and from what I've seen, after its first flight in 1971, they flew it out of RAF Fairford during their test...
Sorry I missed you Matt, but please do let me know when you'll be through again.
They will be holding the world's slowest air races over NY harbor for the holiday weekend...
Thanks, Sergio. I guess FlightAware had it wrong, they had it listed as a 734. The FAA database confirms that it is a -300.
Just a handful from the last week or so...
Matt, I went out on the 8th when training was done, got to CLT a little before 5pm, and caught a couple of AE arrivals. Either of these you?
...
First air show arrivals should start showing up middle of next week...me included.
Phil has pictures of his spotting injuries...not pretty!
I think some people pay extra for that.
These are really well done, Jeremy! Good job!
When he said he was with TSA, I would have asked to see his ID. When he didn't produce it, I would have threatened to call the police and report him for impersonating a federal officer...
That would probably have been either the Islanders or Penguins flying in for their playoff game. They played in PIT on Thursday night, and at the Coliseum on Saturday. Don't remember what the Pens...
I've spent some time helping a friend run/sell at model train shows. With the people that come out for that sort of stuff, it doesn't surprise me...
:-)
Don't know what raw converter you are using, but in Adobe Camera Raw, I would use the WB eyedropper and click on a white portion of the fuselage, rather than just picking one of the presets. It may...
Did you shoot it in raw, Rom? It's a simple white balance adjustment if you did. If not, you can still adjust white balance, but you don't have as much room for adjustment.
Only in my head, John, only in my head!
As near as I could tell, because it was pretty bad, I think that was supposed to be to the tune of "Smooth Operator" by Sade. That song was on the charts in the US in 1985 - and we were riffing on...
"What's that beeping noise?"
Heading to Manassas on Friday night, I passed a sign for the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA. Since it's sort of in the middle of nowhere, and I didn't know when I'd get back by that way, I...
Terrific work, Chris! Well done!
The Manassas Regional Airport, outside of Washington, DC, hosted an air show this past Saturday. I had heard about it, but really hadn't planned to attend. They didn't have a big line up, it's a 6...
