Hey guys,

Some of you maybe knew me.
I spent my exchange year in NY and went a lot of spotting with Jason.
Now the Gliding season started and i want to share some pictures and videos with you.

The last few days i was in Stuttgart at the european dentist fair. work.
I used my lunch time for some spotting (Airport was 5mins by walk away)
...

In Warstein (where Warsteiner) come from is every year germanys biggest balloon festival.
Its not far from my town so i drove by Motorcycle over there.

Day 4:
First day flying for me :)

Take off was 12UTC and landing around 16UTC.
Only 2 videos couse i cant handle a plane and a D300 ;)
...

Day 3:

Todays weather was pretty good.
Some Friends flew 3 hours!

Weather was bad yesterday.. One big cold front with rain and thunder was in our area so we cant risk a take off.

But still some pictures ;)

Hey guys,

For the next 2 weeks im with my gliding club at another Airport in Southern Germany (Neresheim)
Start was in Vinsebeck (our Airport) at 1pm.....

I want to do this weekend some star trail shots with my D300.
Sadly the maximum exprosure time is 30sek.

How can i controll the BULB mode over a programm and can set the exprosure time on 2-3h ?...

The weather was pretty nice today so i went early to the Airport.

Today only pics from the ground couse i can't handle a d300 and a plane at the same time ;)

Well.. Im trying now the whole day to find a good setting.. How many pictures do you take for an HDR? i have the option between 3/5/7/9..
Is it better to keep the ISO up? or the F down? same at...

I was at the city tonight to make some night shots.. shot only in RAW.
Even if they take a lot of space on the memory card is it better ;)

Since i got my Nikon D300 i saw this option RAW+JPEG Fine.

My Question, What are you guys shooting on?
Do you use the RAW files in Lightroom or Photoshop to edit your pictures?

I was trying today again to make some HDR with Photomatix but i have a problem..


After i imported the pictures (6) i get a nice and good HDR shot.....

Likewise Mark, it was a great experience!
I will post soon some pictures from Gliding.. Air to air etc..
Im also planing a video with cameras on the wing,tail,cockpit and bottom for my gliding...
