I haven't posted a spotting photo in ages, mostly because I just don't get out that often anymore sadly. But I was lucky enough to travel a bit in the past year, which netted some...
I know every time I click on a Peterman thread I'm going to end up drooling. This was no exception.
Thanks Steve (and sorry it took so very to respond)!
A quarterly update:
Paine Field is generally pretty slow. An average day probably fields three test flights. Sometimes they all leave in one two hour window in the morning - other times they're spread out hours apart...
I certainly wouldn't mind calling some of those my own - excellent shots.
Thought I'd make another quick hello, and a little bit of what I've been up to since last I visited!
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Really like the third from last. Nice work, as always!
Unreal how big it is...great shots!
Well, that's my neck of the woods. Guess I've got a new one to look out for.
Insane, and thus awesome.
Green with envy...solid shooting and excellent subject material to boot!
With all of my exclusivity contracts up, I can finally share. I didn't make every game, and unfortunately my publication, Seattle Weekly got cut after the divisional playoffs, but man was it a good...
There is a missing/misaligned window up front in that area, but it depends on which version. I flew a DL 767-300 from CDG and 7A was missing a window. On others it's 9A.
I would've pushed back and suggested that I'd been spotting here or other places many many times and never had a problem - at least get him to give you more than 'it's illegal'. I would not have...
Time for your best non aviation photos, let's see 'em!
I'll get it started!
This guy was quite talented. I really liked a photo of his in which he caught a guy running from sniper fire...and the only way he could've gotten it was to have been in the line of fire himself....
Awesome stuff so far...following this thread is always one of my favorites things! Here's a few of my better shots:
70-200 2.8 II FTW, for me. 24 1.4 isn't far behind. Both are my go-to's.
Canon 5DIII with 70-200 2.8 II
Canon 5DII with 24 1.4
7D as backup when I need the range
400 2.8 available when I really need some range!
I started off terrified of flying, so much so that I wound up delaying flights on two occasions due to my freaking out. I'd shake like a leaf and get sick to my stomach the day before we flew out -I...
It took something like three weeks...unbelievable.
