I saw the smoke from it on the way to work yesterday.
Nice pics. I saw this plane last Sunday evening at JFK while my B6 flight JFK-LAS (which didn't depart from gate B6, Lolz!)was taxiing to 13R for departure.
Did the passengers on the train pay a fee for priority arrival position in the departure hall?
Surprised nobody mentioned this---there's a great airplane graveyard in Victorville, CA just off I-15 roughly halfway between LA and Vegas....
Nice pics!!! If you look closely in the bottom middle of the Vegas pic, you can see me waving.......
Yeah....You're right...not knowing in the 21st century that there are male flight attendants is in the same league as being able to distinguish between aircraft types and understanding flight...
....And you would also think that someone that participates in an AVIATION forum would have at least somewhat more knowledge of the industry than the general public and be aware of this, too....
Always pretty disturbing when you're at the mercy of someone with such ignorance that has a gun and a badge. Sorry about your experience.
To bad I didn't know you were in town--would have been nice to meet someone from the site to go spotting with at my hometown airport.
I sure do miss the days of smoking flights.......
A few years ago, a friend of mine was flying LAX-NRT on a Varig MD-11. When he was telling me about the trip, I was like "Oh....You're flying a Mega-Death Cruiser?" I then proceeded to explain to him...
Makes sense. I've heard that a lot about Vegas as a whole being a very low yield city for all the airlines on most routes for the same reasoning.
Yeah....I don't know why WN couldn't make the non stop work. Every time my parents or myself took the flight in either direction every seat was taken. It would be nice to see a regularly scheduled...
I was hoping there would be some LAS-ISP service on the 57's. I like WN's service, but a little competition on the route would likely drop the fares a little.
Update:Flew WN yesterday LAS-BWI-ISP. Both Segments ontime, professional crews, and I made it in one piece. My connecting flight out of BWI arrived to the gate a few minutes late, and the Captain...
Here we go with the Southwest bashing again..... There's actually a youtube video of someone filming out the window the last minute or two of that fateful LGA flight and there's no...
Isn't that almost always the case......................:frown:
Back in '03, my grandmother passed away. I flew LAS-PHL-ISP on US to attend the funeral, and was booked the morning after the funeral to fly the reverse routing back to the LAS. The afternoon of my...
Thanks for the speedy reply! It will be sad to see the DC/MD10's phased out--they have been a frequent visitor here in LAS for as far back as I can remember.....
What's the dealio with the 763's? Are they going to gradually replace the DC10/MD10/MD11's?
I guess if someone wants to work for WN at LGA there will be a spot opening up soon........
Looks more like chemtrails coming from a government plane spraying the masses.........Just kidding:cool:
Any new service at ISP is great news. I remember flying that route on USAirways Express and Delta Express back in the mid 90's.
I'm green with envy that you're attending the Paris Air Show.
I like when thing like this happen in the movies....It helps with a little game I play in the movies called "count the anachronisms". The winner gets a free Coke next time out at the movies.
