"This is the second notice....
....that the factory warranty on your vehicle is expiring"
I get these calls about once a week and didn't realize how widespread this scam is until I googled it. I thought this reaction/prank was funny. Anyone else get these calls?

Re: "This is the second notice....
i do, all the time. it's interesting since my truck is 15 years old and hasn't had a warranly in a long long time...
Re: "This is the second notice....
I get them all the time! I have no idea how they got my cell phone number because I never give it out when doing business so I'm guessing Verizon is selling their numbers to marketing firms. Its really annoying though...
Re: "This is the second notice....
I get them a couple times a week and I've never owned a car.
Re: "This is the second notice....
Business cell phones at work get them as well.
I get them, too, and they are always from different numbers around the country.

I get them on my work phone so if not busy I will wait for the person to get on the phone and advise them they have reached a federal government phone and are being traced and by spam calling they are in violation of FCC regulation xxxx (doesn't matter, I just make up a number). I then advise them they must give me their name and their supervisor's name by law. I don't need their location as I will get it from the trace. If they haven't hung up (most freak out and hang up), I tell them Federal Agents will be in touch.

Re: "This is the second notice....
It's good to know that the National No Call List works for cell phones...I used to get those....until I registered....and complained...haven't heard a thing from them since....

Mine are always from different numbers from around the country, too. Today was 781.
I don't own a car, I've never had a warranty, and they call on both mine and my boss' line. It's a widespread scam, but I don't know what they're trying to accomplish or what information they're gathering.

Re: "This is the second notice....
