Well the last departure left LGA about 40 mins late on N805BR. Big disappointment for me as I requested to work Ramp Control today so I could issue pushback clearance to their departure and personally wish the crew well. They ended up changing gates from A4 to A3 which we don't control. but I monitored ground and tower, nothing was said but I saw lots of faces in the windows when they taxied by. I did get to speak with the second to last crew, which was their last leg, since the 1230 departure was an hour late and was at A4, they where Professional to the end and really seamed to appreciate my warm well wishes from a competitor. One of the great things about working in "the" industry is being able to help front line employees at other carriers, at the non upper management ranks we can really help each other out, with out being in the least bit un-loyal to our employers ! I hope all the crews can move on and find good flying jobs in the industry, I am sure having 319 time will sure help !

The gates belong to IAD so whoever IAD leases them out to. They'll probably remain empty for a while

Wow very interesting Ron. The leasing company took them back pretty quickly. The repo man was probably on hand at IAD when those last flights came in.

All the ILFC's owned A319's are being short term stored at Lake Charles, Four owned by CIT is now parked at Mexicana's facility awaiting new customers.

Majority of the ferry flight crews are Flyi employees and were happy to make one more flight on the A319's.
