So in the world of boat ownership there are two extremely happy days in a boat owners life that you just can't keep from smiling from ear to ear. The first one is the first day you get the boat. Oh man what a great day! You have this new toy that's all nice and shinny, makes a cool sounds, goes fast, and has allot of buttons to push that do really neat things. How can one not love it........? Move forward in time 7 years...

After years of maintaining a boat, fixing it, fueling it at over $5.00 a gallon, fixing it again, getting your butt beat in rough weather, fixing it again, pulling your friends around in a tube which you can't enjoy because if you let them drive the boat you'll be fixing the boat again, Playing host to god knows how many BBQs at Fire Island, fixing it again, and the HOURS and HOURS of CLEANING!!!! That being said this brings me to the second happiest day of a boaters life...

THE DAY YOU SELL THE BOAT!!!! Today was that DAY!!! WOOHOOO :D :D :D :D :D HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! MY BOAT IS GONE!!!! WOOHOO!!

I put the boat up on Craig's list BAM! it was sold in less then an hour! Wild stuff!

Congrats, it sure is a great feeling. I sold my Vanguard Laser (Standard rig) last year for twice as much as I bought it for and had quite a grin on my face. Are you planning on replacing it or giving boating a rest for a while?

As a side note, today is the last day of the boat show at the Javits Center. Surprisingly it wasn't that crowded yesterday when I went.

Hey Ron, here's a picture. Oh and HPN...NO more boats for me, at least for a good while. Maybe a Jet Ski but no boats, they are just to much work.

Congrats on selling it! Owning a boat is sweet, but maintaining it in salt waters is tough... Glad someone bought it!

I'd certainly agree it's a lot of work (especially in salt water), but my dad and I enjoy it and it gives us something to do together in the spring and summer months. Our boat is in fresh water which really makes things easier.

Jetskis are fun, but my butt can't take more than a few hours in normal conditions.

Craigslist is the best, all you guys should monitor the camera eqiupment for sale regularly, many people are looking dump stuff at great prices and more times than not in really good condition.
