I was just wondering if anyone will be out at JFk this Sunday in the AM?

Depends on the weather and how early I can drag myself out of bed in the morning. :)

Weather looks really nice, I am heading to the mounds or Cargo Plaza on Sunday from 5-8pm.
Winds are SSW for the day.

I was thinking about it but I am heading out to wine country for the afternoon. Wx looks awesome, enjoy the late mounds light. We are losing it fast!

I'll probably be out tomorrow for a little while in the evening but unfortunately not Sunday.

I don't have anything else going on Sunday, and I haven't been out spotting in a while, so I might try to get out. Mostly it depends on how the weather looks; summer is great for haze, which isn't so great for shooting.

Tomorrow is actually looking better than Sunday...winds favoring the 4s in the morning, but they'll probably switch to the 22s by mid-afternoon. And the dewpoints are going to stay in the 50s, which should cut down on the haze.

Sunday forecast is for dewpoints in the 60s and winds favoring the 31s for most of the day.

Any takers for tomorrow? :)

On Sunday I'm leaving on US Airways FLight 226 to LAS (8am departure). If anyone's out there, would anyone mind snapping a photo? :D

I'd love to get out there tomorrow, I don't know the WX for tomorrow but if it is cool like today that would be great.

High of about 80, dewpoint in the high 50s, winds from the north for the morning, shifting to southwest in the afternoon. I think I'm going to head out to Bayswater early/mid morning if they're on the 4s. Otherwise I'll wait until afternoon and see if the Mounds are worthwhile.

I've never spotted by the 31's.
I've only been by the mounds last year.... with my old lens.

Wow, sunrise today would have been the play. They were arriving on the 31s and the sun was perfect. 59 degrees and no haze. Hope someone got out. Can't beat this light.

I'm at Bayswater now and its beautiful outside...they are still on the 4s...although last time I looked at the weather the wind was forecast to switch on a couple of hours...

Ok, all of my pics turned out hideously grainy and a lot of them have chromatic aberration. I think I've learned my lesson about shooting in the middle of the day :)

Stayed long enough for a few shots and had 1 keeper. I didn't stay too long as I got frustrated by the dust spots on my sensor (trip to Nikon tomorrow) and also, I got hungry (I'm fat, yes I know).

I didn't see anybody at Cargo or at the Mounds today. Looks like they stopped using 13L for arrivals around 6pm or so.

They stopped using 13L for landings around 5:30pm as Phil said so I headed to Howard Beach for 31L KK departures.
