I put the serial as the serial....should I put the serial as the N Number???

Yeha, the serialis the N number, as I understand it.

It's tough with military jets on those sites because you never really know what's what. It's important to look up the requirements for military planes.

Yes Fred, if you put that number in the Registration field you will be fine. I usually just plug it in the autofill box at the top and let it pull all the right info into the right spots.

To add on to Moose's comment. Put the serial in the top box and hit auto fill. The aircraft is already in the database, so all the info JP wants will show up.
