3 Chinooks over East River

Little over an hour ago, there were 3 US Army's Chinnoks took off at E 34th Street Heliport at East River went sound bound. Is this part of the practice for July 4th?

I dunno but I would doubt it.

I've seen Blackhawks over Manhattan somewhat frequently, and have seen a Chinook over the Hudson River. Could be many, many things.

They probably wouldn't be practicing for 4th of July on the 22nd of June.

My father saw them going north over the Verrazano at about 10am, same day.

Today I saw a blackhawk going south over the Queensborough Bridge.
