Denver-based Frontier Airlines last week announced service to seven new destinations, as well as increased service to a further four cities. The announcement comes in conjunction with the release of Frontier’s 2010 summer schedule. Year-round nonstop service is being added to Branson, Mo. (BKG); Grand Rapids, Mich. (GRR); Long Beach, Calif. (LGB); Madison, Wis. (MSN); Newport News-Williamsburg, Va. (PHF) and Santa Barbara, Calif. (SBA) while Green Bay, Wis. (GRB) will see nonstop seasonal service. These schedule changes are available for booking beginning February 14th.

Frontier also pointed out in the same press release that starting April 19th, all service from Denver to Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, Omaha and Salt Lake City will be upgraded to Embraer E170, E190 and Airbus aircraft, operated by Republic Airlines. Parent company Republic Airways Holdings announced the same day a plan to simplify its fleet by removing Lynx Bombardier Q400s from its fleet this coming April.

Frontier is expecting delivery of three more Airbus A320s and five Embraer E190s in the spring. The E190s will be operated by Republic Airlines, which already operates 10 recently purchased from US Airways.
